Bordeaux, France, Summer 2003

After Madrid, we headed for Bordeaux.  We added this stop to learn more about wine.  Our past experience in Napa taught us much, but a little comparative knowledge never hurts.  Bordeaux city was a great surprise.  It is undergoing a massive rebuilding to make it more pedestrian friendly.  We also found the people to be very friendly and happy to engage our pathetic use of French so long as we were willing to engage their pathetic use of English.
